1. Prologue

2. I Wish I'd Been a Witness

I do believe in God
that much I know is true,
but who he really is
is what I wish I knew.

And if I should believe
that Jesus was his son
then he would make a way
for me to know today
that's who he really was.

Chorus
I wish I'd been a witness
and seen with my own eyes.
Did Jesus walk on water,
and did he heal the blind?
And did they call him savior
and was he crucified?
I wish I'd been a witness
to see if he would rise.

I only want to know
the truth of Jesus' life-
if I should follow him
and make the sacrifice.

But some say he is God
and some say it can't be
and though they're both sincere
the message is quite clear
the choice is left to me.

Repeat Chorus

I do believe in God
that much I know is true.
But who he really is
and whether I am his
is what I wish I knew.

3. Another Testament

Hear, oh Israel,
nations of the Gentiles,
islands of the sea,
every living soul on the earth,

In our day our God has sent
another testament.
(Hear, oh Israel)

Come and hear of covenants
made with Judah long ago.
Hear the ancient promises,
prophecies which now unfold.

Hear of scattered Israel
Joseph's seed across the earth.
Hear the words of God to them
promising Messiah's birth.
(Hear, oh Israel, oh Israel
the Gentile nations, hear)

Hear the sound of witnesses
calling out from distant lands.
Promised by Ezekiel
now as one within our hands.

Hear the plain and precious truth,
hear of the atoning one,
Hear the words of witnesses
testifying Christ has come.
(Hear, oh Israel)

Know ye not that I am God
and speak to all the nations
and will judge all the nations of the world
according to my word?
(Hear, oh Israel)

Hear, oh Israel,
nations of the Gentiles,
islands of the sea.

In our day our God has sent
another testament.

4. Once the Lamb of God

See the sheep upon the meadow,
quiet and serene.
Peaceful as if painted
on a field of emerald green.

And the winds they blow,
but they bring no fear
for the sheep well know
that the shepherd is near.

And they follow this good shepherd
though he lead to distant lands
for they know they are the reason
for the scars upon his hands.
And they honor their good shepherd
for the battles he has fought
for they know that this good shepherd
was once the lamb of God.

Some among his flock have wandered,
some were lost for years.
Still the shepherd found them
for he tracked them by their tears.

And the wolves, they howled,
and the sheep, they cried,
but the shepherd fought
and the shepherd died.
And they mourned for their good shepherd,
but their sorrow soon would pass
for at dawn they saw the shepherd
walking through the dewy grass.
And they gathered 'round their shepherd
and every head did nod
for they knew that this good shepherd
was once the lamb of God.

Beyond their comprehension
is the love within his gaze-
this Shepherd of the stars
who made the grass on which they graze.
His willing condescension
to live the life they knew
and save them by his blood,
is what no other lamb could do.

See the shepherd on the meadow
watching o'er his flock,
trusting in the shepherd
who was once the lamb of God.

5. Mighty Miracles

When she walked through the crowd
did she know what would happen?
When she reached for his hem
did she know she'd be healed?
Did she know how it would be,
or was she hoping-just like me?

When they lowered him down
through the roof was he frightened?
As he hung by a thread
did he know he'd be healed?
Did he know how it would be,
or was he hoping-just like me?

Mighty miracles they received,
mighty miracles I believe,
still one miracle I long to see,
a mighty miracle-one for me.

When I'm down on my knees
and in need of forgiveness,
when I reach with my heart
will I find someone there?
Could the person he sets free
be a person-just like me?

Mighty miracles they received,
mighty miracles I believe,
still one miracle I long to see,
a mighty miracle.

When my heart is truly changed,
when my past is swept away,
when I feel the power of my Savior's grace

That's the miracle I receive,
that's the miracle I believe,
that's the miracle I longed to see,
that's my miracle-my mighty miracle!

6. I Take His Name

Solo Man:
I will sing the praise of Jesus
with my every breath.
Though I die I'll live again,
he lifts me over death.

Men:
I will praise his holy name
wherever I may be,
when I was a prisoner
he came and ransomed me.

He takes the pain,
sickness and shame,
he breaks the chain,
I praise his name.

Solo Woman:
Time and time again he saves,
forgiving my mistakes
seventy times seven times-
however long it takes.

Women:
How can I repay his mercy,
how can I show thanks?
When I take the bread and water,
symbols of his grace,

I take his name,
I feel his strength,
I am reclaimed,
I take his name.

Men:                          Women:
He takes the pain,    Time and time again he saves,
sickness and shame, forgiving my mistakes
he breaks the chain,  seventy times seven times-
I praise his name.     however long it takes.

I take his name,       I will be his witness in
I feel his strength,   all places and all times.
I am reclaimed,         I will be his faithful witness
I take his name.      and he will be mine.

Solo Man & Solo Woman:
I will be his faithful witness
and he will be mine.

7. Hosanna!
(Behold I am Jesus Christ)
3 Nephi 10 -17

"Behold, I am Jesus Christ
whom the prophets have testified
shall come into the world.

(Hosanna, hosanna)

Arise and come forth unto me
and thrust your hands
into my side
and feel the prints of the nails,
the nails in my hands
and in my feet

That ye may know that I am God,
God of all the earth
and have been slain
for the sins of the world."

The multitude all went forth
and they touched him and saw his wounds
and knew of a surety
it was he whom the prophets said
shall come into the world

And they cried with one accord,
"Hosanna! Hosanna!
Hosanna! Hosanna!
Hosanna! Hosanna!
Hosanna! Hosanna!
Blessed be the name
of the most high God!"

Hosanna, hosanna!

8. I Am Another Witness

Many miles away and long ago
in villages of wood and stone
were some who claimed to know
of a child to come and signs foretold
and what they had seen in vision
they put down on brass and gold.

In the words they left behind
I can feel the light that touched their lives.

They were another witness of Jesus
that the time of his birth soon would come.
Promising hope like the sun nearly dawning
was their faith in God's own son.
And it marked their souls for life
to be witnesses of Jesus Christ.

But the years went by and darkness grew
And they felt the hope they'd cherished
melt away like morning dew.
When a voice was heard
that pierced the skies
and a man in white descended
to the earth before their eyes.

Had the prophecies come true?
Then they touched his hands and feet
and knew

They were another witness of Jesus
for he blessed them and
healed them with his touch.
Brilliant and bright as the sun in the noonday
was the power of his love.

I was not among the crowd
when he blessed and broke the bread,
but I am among the prisoners
who were ransomed when he bled.
And the promise is the same
to his children now as then
and the candle of his spirit burns
when I read those words again

I am another witness of Jesus,
that he lived, that he died, and lives again.
Simple and sure as the sunset at evening
is the flame that burns within.
And it marks my soul for life
as a witness of Jesus Christ!
(I am another witness of Jesus Christ)

Know ye not that I am God
